Project 365: January 4, 2010
On June 28, 2008—I brought home Sashimi. My first betta fish.
For over a year and half, Sashimi was a faithful friend, keeping me company on my desk at work. Every day as I arrived, he would swim to the side of his bowl. Always looking like he was waving at me in the way his fins flapped so speedily. Today, he has died and joined the many that went before him… down the toilet expressway.
Thank you to Brice for taking care of the funeral arrangements.
Bye Bye, Sashimi.
I will miss you.
Yep. I return back to school tomorrow to see if my beta fish, Panthalassa, survived the break living in a herd of Dalmation Mollies.
PS Taking more pictures was one of my new years resolutions, too. 🙂
I remember when we went to the pet store to get him. The image of the girl working there still creeps me out.
say hello to my son’s ex-fishies flotsam & jetsam.
Awww – poor Sashimi.
Though he will have now joined our office fish Ningbo 1 and Ningbo 3.
Ningbo 2, 4 and 5 are still going strong…at the moment.
We so would be bff! I used to have a beta named Sashimi too! And a second one named Rice.
Both died a few years back.
Sorry about your Sashimi!
Maybe it was a broken heart. You were gone for a few days & didn’t take him with you to N’ville….
Just kidding. Sorry for your loss.
On behalf of fish everywhere, we extend you condolences on your loss.
